Advanced dental technology can make diagnosis, treatment planning and restorative care more precise, comfortable and efficient. At TLC Escondido Dental, we combine modern equipment with personalized attention to provide care tailored to each patient’s needs.
Dr. Jorge Reyes and Dr. Catalina Madrigal have completed extensive training in digital dentistry, CEREC technology, laser dentistry and other advanced treatment techniques. Our dentists use these tools when they may improve accuracy, comfort or communication during your care.
Our Dental Technologies
Dental technology includes the diagnostic equipment, digital imaging systems and treatment tools used throughout our office. These technologies help our team evaluate your oral health, explain findings and create personalized treatment plans.
- AI Software
- 3D Printer
- CBCT (Cone Beam) Scanning
- CEREC Same-Day Dentistry
- Digital X-Rays
- Intraoral Cameras
- iTero® Digital Scanner
- Laser Dentistry
- Surgical Guides
Benefits of Advanced Dental Technology
Each technology serves a different purpose, but potential benefits may include:
- More detailed views of teeth and supporting structures
- Earlier identification of developing concerns
- Clearer explanations of your oral health
- Improved treatment planning and precision
- More comfortable digital impressions
- Efficient design of restorations and oral appliances
- Reduced treatment time for selected procedures
- Better coordination between our office and dental laboratories
Technology supports clinical care, but it does not replace the experience and judgment of our dentists. Each tool is selected based on your symptoms, diagnosis and treatment needs.
Digital Imaging and Diagnosis
Our office uses advanced imaging tools to examine areas that may not be visible during a routine clinical examination.
Digital dental X-rays help our team evaluate teeth, roots and supporting bone. CBCT 3D imaging may be recommended when a more comprehensive view is needed for dental implants, oral surgery, root canal concerns or other complex treatment planning.
Intraoral cameras and AI-assisted X-ray analysis may also help our dentists identify concerns and explain their findings more clearly.
Digital Scanning and Impressions
Digital scanners create detailed three-dimensional models of your teeth and bite without traditional impression material. Our office uses iTero® and CEREC Primescan technology to support:
- Invisalign® clear aligner planning
- Dental crowns and bridges
- Implant restorations
- Night guards and retainers
- Bite evaluations
- Other custom dental appliances

Same-Day Restorative Technology
CEREC technology allows our team to digitally scan, design and mill certain dental restorations within our office. Eligible patients may be able to receive a permanent crown in a single appointment rather than wearing a temporary restoration while waiting for a dental laboratory.
Our CEREC system includes Primescan digital imaging and Primemill technology to support efficient, customized restorative care.
3D Printing and Custom Appliances
SprintRay 3D printing technology may be used to create dental models, guides and selected oral appliances. Digital design and fabrication can improve efficiency while helping our team customize treatment to your teeth and bite.

Laser Dentistry
AMD dental laser technology may be used for selected periodontal and soft-tissue procedures. Depending on the treatment, laser dentistry may improve precision, reduce bleeding and minimize disruption to nearby tissue.
Our dentists will determine whether laser treatment is appropriate based on your oral health and the procedure being performed. Learn more about laser dentistry.
Technology With a Personal Touch
Advanced equipment is most valuable when it supports thoughtful, individualized care. Our dentists take time to review digital images with you, explain treatment options and answer your questions before care begins.
Our goal is to use technology to make your experience easier to understand while supporting precise diagnosis and high-quality treatment.

Our office uses digital X-rays, CBCT 3D imaging, intraoral cameras, iTero scanning, CEREC Primescan and Primemill, SprintRay 3D printing, AI-assisted X-ray analysis, dental lasers and an operating microscope.
Does dental technology make treatment more comfortable?
Some technologies may improve comfort by reducing the need for traditional impressions, making procedures more efficient or minimizing disruption to surrounding tissue.
Is digital dental imaging safe?
Digital imaging is used only when clinically appropriate. Our team follows established safety protocols and selects the type and amount of imaging based on your needs.
Can technology help detect dental problems earlier?
Digital X-rays, intraoral cameras and other diagnostic tools may help identify concerns that are difficult to see during a visual examination alone.
Can dental technology shorten treatment time?
Yes, in selected cases. Same-day crown technology, digital impressions and in-office fabrication may reduce the number of appointments or the time needed to complete certain treatments.
Will every patient need advanced dental imaging?
