Jorge Reyes, DDS
Originally from Texas, Dr. Jorge Reyes grew up surrounded by dentistry. With several uncles and cousins in the profession, he saw the purpose and impact of dental care from an early age. At just 15 years old, he began working as a dental assistant for a retired dentist during mission trips. Those experiences showed him how restoring oral health can improve a person’s comfort, confidence and overall quality of life — and confirmed that dentistry was his calling.
Dr. Reyes moved to California in 2014 and has been practicing dentistry ever since. He graduated with honors from the international program at La Salle Bajío School of Dentistry and has co-owned TLC Escondido Dental with Dr. Catalina Madrigal since 2019. He is an active member of the American Dental Association®, California Dental Association and San Diego County Dental Society.
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Reyes has completed extensive continuing education in restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, CEREC and digital dentistry, and laser dentistry. His advanced training includes the Implant Maxi Course through Loma Linda University, completion of the educational curriculum required for an implant fellowship through advanced implant training, CEREC Master Training and AMD Laser Certification.
Dr. Reyes provides comprehensive care that includes crowns, fillings, bridges, implant restorations, cosmetic bonding, whitening, Invisalign® and preventive dentistry. Implant placement and other advanced procedures are coordinated with TLC Escondido Dental’s in-house board-certified prosthodontist, allowing patients to receive comprehensive care within one trusted team.
His philosophy is centered on trust, clinical excellence and genuine relationships. He takes time to understand each patient’s needs, explain treatment options clearly and provide conservative, personalized care that supports both oral health and quality of life. By combining advanced technology with a warm, personal approach, his goal is to make every patient feel informed, comfortable and cared for like family.
Outside the office, Dr. Reyes enjoys traveling, exploring local restaurants and hosting BBQs with friends and family.
Catalina Madrigal, DDS
Dr. Catalina Madrigal’s journey into dentistry began with the example of her father, a devoted Mexican physician who showed her what it means to serve a community with skill and compassion. His influence, along with her belief in the power of a healthy smile to improve confidence, self-esteem and overall well-being, inspired her to make dentistry her life’s work.
Proud of her Mexican roots, Dr. Madrigal centers her life around family and brings that same spirit into her care. She wants every patient who visits TLC Escondido Dental to feel welcomed, heard and treated like family.
Dr. Madrigal has been practicing dentistry since 2014 and has co-owned TLC Escondido Dental with Dr. Jorge Reyes since 2019. She graduated first in her class from the international program at La Salle Bajío School of Dentistry in Guanajuato, Mexico, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Her work has been published in the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Dentistry and other dental journals. She is an active member of the American Dental Association®, California Dental Association and San Diego County Dental Society.
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Madrigal completes more than 100 hours of continuing education each year. Her advanced training includes extensive study in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign® and clear aligner therapy, endodontics, dental implants, oral surgery, periodontics, CEREC and digital dentistry, and laser dentistry. She has also completed Invisalign Reingage Training through the AACA, Smile Architect Training, CEREC Master Training and AMD Laser Certification.
Detail-oriented and passionate about the artistry and precision of dentistry, Dr. Madrigal provides care that includes crowns, fillings, bridges, Invisalign, implant restorations, cosmetic bonding, professional whitening and custom nightguards. For advanced procedures such as complex extractions, implant placement, full-mouth rehabilitation and advanced prosthodontic care, she collaborates with TLC Escondido Dental’s in-house board-certified prosthodontist so patients can receive comprehensive care from one trusted team.
Her philosophy of care is built on trust, compassion and lifelong relationships. She takes time to educate patients, answer questions and help them feel confident in every treatment decision. By combining advanced technology with a gentle, personalized approach, she strives to create healthy, lasting smiles while making every patient feel respected and cared for.
Outside the office, Dr. Madrigal enjoys spending time with her family, discovering new restaurants, enjoying one of Dr. Reyes’ BBQ meals and unwinding with a good movie or show.
Jonathan Winfield, DDS, FACP
Board-Certified Prosthodontist
“My journey into dentistry began with a passion for science and a calling to serve. A high school mission trip to Uganda opened my eyes to the critical need for healthcare in underserved regions. Later, during college, I volunteered on another trip to Ensenada, Mexico. Watching the dental team deliver immediate, meaningful relief while doing hands-on work inspired me in a way I’ll never forget. Dentistry offered the perfect blend of science, artistry and impact — and I knew it was my path.” – Dr. Winfield
Dr. Winfield is a board-certified surgical prosthodontist specializing in full mouth rehabilitation, digital dentistry and implant-supported restorations. Originally from San Diego, he earned his DDS from the University of the Pacific and completed a three-year Advanced Prosthodontics residency at the University of Illinois, Chicago, becoming board-certified in 2022. He is also certified in IV conscious moderate sedation to ensure patient comfort and safety.
Driven by compassion and service, Dr. Winfield has participated in multiple humanitarian dental missions around the world — including Jamaica, the Philippines, Mexico and Uganda — and continues to mentor students on global outreach trips.
Outside the office, he is an adventurer at heart. He enjoys rock climbing, surfing, snowboarding, traveling and spending time with his close-knit family. He speaks fluent Spanish and embraces his Mexican heritage.
Above all, Dr. Winfield is dedicated to restoring smiles, confidence and quality of life for every patient he treats.
